Slide lectures by Andreas Giersberg (1933–1985)

Friesdorf im Wandel der Zeit (Friesdorf through the ages)

In three slide lectures, the Friesdorf local historian Andreas Giersberg shows how his home village in the south of Bonn has changed — with old maps and picture postcards, with farms, crafts and clubs, and with a walk through the Friesdorf of 1985. His pictures and his voice have been preserved unchanged. Friesdorf-Verlag restored the lectures in 2026; they can be watched in full length on YouTube. The films are in German, with German and English subtitles.
